About Us
We are a not-for-profit organisation, whose aim is to improve the visibility of lawyers of African heritage in Western Australia, create professional networking opportunities and develop relationships, develop pathways towards the law for our student members, and promote access to justice and cultural diversity within the WA legal community.
Our Objectives
An incorporated association of legal practitioners who have African heritage or with an interest in activities between Africa and Australia.
Promote members of the legal profession who have African heritage or identify as African Australian;
Provide a network for members to promote, mentor, support and learn from each other;
Develop and promote connections between the African and Australian legal market; and
Promote members of the legal profession who have an interest in African Australian affairs and/or enterprise;
Provide a platform to participate in law reform, advocacy and policy formation;
Promote cultural diversity and inclusion.
Our Members
Membership is open to anyone including legal practitioners, academics, students, graduates, law clerks and paralegals.
